Choose a direction.
Decide on the overall appearance you want: a wood combination, a contrasting handle, or a particular arrangement of points. Keep the first concept simple.
Work through construction.
Use the 2D Construction view to consider the cue’s sections and proportions, including the butt cap, sleeve, handle, forearm, rings, and joint collar.
Explore materials and details.
Develop one part of the design at a time. Consider how the materials, veneers, points, rings, and inlays complement one another.
Review in 3D.
Switch to the 3D view and rotate the cue to inspect the complete design. Return to construction or material choices when something needs adjustment.
Save your work.
Use Save or Save As to keep your design. Give each variation a descriptive name so you can return to your ideas.
A preview is a design reference.
Actual wood grain and wrap patterns vary. Review your concept with your cue maker before making construction decisions.
